We are proud to announce that we are introducing a new Corporate Social Responsibility initiative which will see our Cloud Crowd spend a day away from the office giving back to the community.

This opportunity will not only benefit the chosen charities, but will also be rewarding for our employees who will have the chance to use their skills to better their local community or charity of choice. We’re following the likes of other major organisations such as Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and Sainsbury's, who actively encourage a positive change for causes they believe in.

As part of the initiative, we’ve partnered with The Big Alliance to help organise some fantastic volunteering opportunities for anyone that doesn’t have a charity in mind. Our people are welcome to volunteer individually or team up together for their charities - a great way to get to know each other outside of work.

Despite being a hub for technical growth, Islington is the 5th most deprived borough in London, with a low average household income rate and high adult poverty levels.

The Big Alliance aims to give businesses within the borough of Islington a chance to contribute to charities that are in need of help, and with our head office being in Islington, it’s got a special place in our hearts so we want to give back as much as we can to help the local community.

Some of the opportunities The Big Alliance can offer to our team include:

  • Mentoring young adults
  • Educational opportunities in primary schools
  • Local Community Programs

We’ve also set aside £10,000 in matched funding to encourage our team to raise as much as possible for their chosen charities. So for any money our employees raise, we'll donate the same amount up to £500 per person.

So what’s been happening so far?

Well it seems that some of our team are not on the faint hearted side as 16 of them will be taking part in a range of Tough Mudder challenges this September. For those who aren’t in the know, Tough Mudder is a gruelling obstacle course, designed to push teams to the limit.

We certainly wish those 16 team members good luck!

Our CSR intitiative has been introduced at all our offices in the UK and around the world, and we're looking forward to seeing what all our teams get up to.

We will of course be updating you on our social media channels to let you know how we’re getting on with our hashtag #CloudCrowdCharity
